UIflow: No-code platform for enterprise software companies
Uiflow allows developers to build secure and scalable frontend web apps using their own data, UI, and integrations all without code. It allows users to easily create and connect services using a drag-and-drop interface and pre-built modules all without coding. (I know, crazy, tell your friends!)
The product team consisted of 4 senior product designers (including myself), 8 engineers, 1 Head of product, and one branding designer.
Uphill battle
Being the Lead Product Design Manager at Uiflow is demanding and rewarding all at the same time. Working cross-functionally with engineers as well as Marketing & Growth teams was challenging to say the least. We faced many obstacles as a team and overcame a multitude of problems. Alleviating our technical debts and solving problems for our users was at the forefront of our execution.
Information Architecture
The IA was at the forefront of our execution when revamping our studio. The Product team had to dissect the entire platform and build it from the ground up.
Design System
To ensure everything is cohesive we built out a design system that was shared and built out with our engineering team in tandem.
Takeaway:
Product Lead Growth
Testing with users was successful because it allowed us to make data-driven decisions and identify specific pain points throughout the user journey. We were able to improve the learnability of our product and move closer to our goal of 100 weekly active users, increasing user retention on our platform. By using metrics and conducting moderated interviews with users, we were able to gain deeper insights into user needs and preferences, which informed our product design decisions and ultimately led to a more successful product.
